Refurbishment
The church building has now been completely refurbished over the summer of 2023.

The church has undergone a major damp roofing of the outside structures with new transparent storm glazing. Internally there are new disabled toilet facilities and a coffee bar together with a history and prayer corner in the sanctuary. The electric heating system has been replaced with improved insulation and lighting together with a new audiovisual system.
The replacement of the pews with more comfortable movable seating provides a flexible worship space fit for the 21st century.
The project has been funded by the generosity of our congregation, the sale of our former Downpatrick Church and a grant from Benefact, (a christian refurbishment charity) together with local fund raising projects.
The main purpose of the project is to enable and encourage the work of God’s Kingdom in the Newcastle area for the coming years.
